Control Freak Landscape Lighting, brought to you by Control Freak

Sound familiar?

Let the evening take care of itself.

The photocell died again.

The lights come on at 5 am, or not at all. Stop turning them on by hand every evening. Sunset comes from your home's location, every day of the year.

The app lost the schedule after a router change.

The schedule runs on the controller over a wired connection. The lights keep their times when the internet or an app doesn't work.

An outlet tripped in the rain. Nobody noticed for days.

A tripped outlet alert tells you to check it. Choose push, text, email or alarm. Phone alerts need internet.

How it works

Keep the lights and pump you already have.

  1. 01

    Plug in your transformers

Connect your plug-in low voltage lighting transformers and water feature pump to the Power Hub. Set their own timers to always on.

  2. 02

Give each outlet its own time

Use sunset at your home for the start. Keep the front path on until sunrise and turn the back yard off at 9:00 pm.

  3. 03

    Choose an evening

Use Evening, Party, All off or Away. Let the waterfall run with the pool pump. The controller keeps the schedule.

What makes it different

Front all night. Back off at 9.

No photocell to fail

Sunset and sunrise are worked out from your home's location. No light sensor to misread a porch light.

A separate schedule per outlet

Different parts of your yard can keep different hours. Party can extend the back yard until midnight.

The waterfall follows the pool pump

Let the waterfall switch off when the pool pump stops. Bring the yard together without another daily chore.

What's included

One complete kit for your yard.

4switched outlets
  • Controller with Home Assistant built in
  • Power Hub with 4 switched outlets

  • Tripped outlet alerts by push, text, email or alarm

Use your existing plug-in lighting transformers and water feature pump. A complete kit of its own. Also runs from your Control Freak Pool controller's spare outputs. Concept capabilities are shown here; design, contents, and features may change.

Home Assistant built in

Your yard belongs in your smart home.

Want it in Home Assistant? It is built in. See your yard outlets alongside the rest of your home and use them in your own automations.

The schedule stays at home.

Schedules run on the controller over a wired connection. No subscription. Choose push, text, email or alarm for alerts. Phone alerts need internet; a local alarm needs connected alarm equipment.

Honest limits

Switching power. Clear boundaries.

On and off only

It switches your transformers and pump on and off. It does not dim or change colors.

You still check the yard

It cannot find a short or a bad bulb in the yard. A tripped outlet alert is a reason to inspect the equipment.

Use a protected outlet

It is not surge or lightning protection. Plug the Power Hub into a protected outdoor GFCI outlet. No outdoor rating is claimed for the Power Hub.
